If you are like most freelancers, you always welcome new opportunities to promote your own work. RedGage is a relatively new social networking website where you can post links to articles, blogs, documents, and even upload photographs.

Like most social networking sites, RedGage does require you to be involved in the community. Once you open your account, you should review the overall look and feel of the site to get an idea of how people are using RedGage. Once you begin uploading content, make sure that you take every opportunity to review other people’s work, comment on it, and if you really like it, mark it as a favorite.

For instance, if you have a large block of articles about health and beauty issues you can create a collection and upload links to those articles there. Like many other sites, RedGage pays based on advertisements, and page views. Unlike many sites, RedGage does not pay via PayPal but instead issues their own branded Visa card. The payout threshold is $25, and this is paid after validating that you are not clicking through your own links.

RedGage also offers contests on a fairly regular basis, which provide additional opportunities to earn more money.

If you are also active on Twitter, you can use the RSS feed to your RedGage content to “tweet” as you post new content to the RedGage site. Once again, this has the potential of increasing your earnings on RedGage.

Because RedGage allowed to to break your content into collections, you have an opportunity to highlight specific work in specific categories.
