Cheap and Ignorant

I have been reviewing numerous freelance writing posts to try to get my earnings back up to 2010 levels since most content farms are either (a) no longer paying worth a crap and (b) seem to have a diminishing rate of return on revenue share. Towards that end I’ve been reviewing a number of openings. But some of these people are not only incredibly bold, they’re cheap and they are ignorant too.

I found a posting today (and I won’t mention where I saw it) but this is what they are looking for:

“we are in need of committed writers to work on short articles on a daily basis.”
Veteran writers:
0.28 USD for 100 words (100, 105, 102, 110, etc)
0.42 USD for 150 words (150, 152, 155, 160, etc)
0.56 USD for 200 words (200, 203, 205, 210, etc)
0.70 USD for 250 words (250, 255, 265, etc)
0.84 USD for 300 words (300, 305, 310, 320, etc)
0.98 USD for 350 words (350, 360, 370, 385, etc
1.12 USD for 400 words (400, 410, 420, 435, etc)
1.26 USD for 450 words (450, 452, 460, 475, etc)

seriously?

When I can make $2.10 to $2.80 for a 150 – 200 word post on Textbroker? Are these people crazy? this is incredible what are they thinking? This isn’t even the worst of them either: I saw other postings for $0.23/150 words. Really? Give me a break. And writers if you accept these you should be ashamed of yourself.
