For some writers, a single article may involve typing for painful hours on end until it comes out just right. They often feel that they spend too long on their work and are always curious why some people find it easy to write. There is no great mystery, the answers may be more evident than you think. Some articles may take a long time, other times an online article is fast to write. Some of the factors in determining how long it takes to write an article include:
Writing about what they know
For many writers, writing about what they know is why writing is so easy for them. The better grasp you have of a topic, the more likely you are to be able to share it coherently. Whether your expertise lies in gardening, child-rearing or marketing, you would find it much easier to write if you knew your subject well.
A passion for their subject matter
Not many people want to write things they are not passionate about. Freelance writers who are beholden to a regular client base may find they are writing about subjects that they lack any passion for. When this happens, they are more likely to find it challenging to write a great or even good article. The more passion you have for the subject matter, the more likely you are to enjoy writing it.
Plenty of discipline
Not everyone is cut out for writing. Being a writing professional takes a great deal of discipline that must incorporate being willing to use resources, being willing to ask questions and being willing to take criticism. Not everyone who wants to write will find success in their writing, regardless of how hard they try. Those that find it easy to write are often very disciplined.
Plenty of time
Writing takes time. People who love to write but do not have sufficient time to devote to the craft of writing often get discouraged and find it hard to write when they feel rushed. Crafting a well thought out article with proper research can take several hours. Those that find it easy to write often do not require such in depth research. Those who have the time to devote to writing, research and follow up will take far more pleasure in their writing and will find ways to write.
There are many reasons why some people find it easy to write. They may have incredibly well honed writing skills, have very strong discipline and may have sufficient time to devote to writing. There are some common traits that writers share such as passion for the written word, but there are many other reasons why some people find it easy to write.
